Ashkan Monfared, MD is professor of Surgery and Neurosurgery at the George Washington School of Medicine & Health Sciences. He was recruited from Stanford University over ten years ago to serve as the Director of Otology, Neurotology, and Skullbase Surgery. Dr. Monfared completed his medical training, residency and fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center. He has had the distinct honor of serving at the Veteran Administration Hospital and the Walter Reed National Medical Center. As a researcher in the areas of acoustic neuromas, he has authored several peer-reviewed scientific papers and book chapters. He is the principal investigator of a multi-center prospective study on large acoustic neuromas (vestibular schwannomas) known as Acoustic Neuroma Subtotal Resection Study (ANSRS). His current research interests beside acoustic neuromas include otologic simulators, hearing loss due to sickle cell anemia, intracranial hypertension, and resident education. Dr. Monfared established the GW Comprehensive Hearing Center, which is one of the only adult cochlear implant programs in the Metro DC area. Since 2004 Dr. Monfared has been active in international humanitarian medical missions. He is on the board of directors of Global ENT Outreach, a non-profit humanitarian organization providing assistance and education with otologic surgeries in many developing countries. He has served in Ethiopia, El Salvador, Belize, Peru, and the American Samoa. Dr. Monfared is a trained classical pianist and fluent in Persian.

Diab Khassan Mohamad Ali was born in 1973. In 1990 he graduated the school college Notre Dame de Paris in Lebanon. In 1999 he graduated from the medical care faculty of Rostov State Medical University. From 1999 till 2003 he studied as a resident on the ENT department of the same university and in St. Petersburg research Institute of Ear, Nose, Throat and Speech. In 2013 defended doctor’s thesis on the topic «Surgical treatment of external, middle and inner ear malformations». From 2006 till 2014 Dr. Diab was the head of Cadaveric Temporal Bone coureses in St. Petersburg research Institute of Ear, Nose, Throat and Speech. From December 2014 to March 2016 - chief research associate of the Department of Ear diseases in the Federal Research Clinical Center of Otorhinolaryngology, Moscow. From April 2016 to January 2020 - the head of the Department of Ear diseases. Since November 2016 - Professor of the Department of Otolaryngology, Faculty of Postgraduate education, Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University. From January 2020 till now is - Deputy Director for International Affairs, curator of the scientific and clinical department of ear diseases of Federal State Budgetary Institution «The National Medical Research Center for Otorhinolaryngology of the Federal Medico- Biological Agency of Russia.

Dr. Salmah Muidh Ali Alharbi is currently a resident doctor at Aseer Central Hospital , Abha , Saudi Arabia under the Department of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. She is also an ATLS instructor. She continuously involves herself to ATLS courses and other programs and seminars to achieve her objective in medical profession. She aims to be an active member of Saudi ORL community which will give her the excellent opportunity to master the SORL mission and have her own fingerprint in the upcoming SORL events in their country. Dr. Alharbi was also recognized in her competent leadership during her student life as an organizer and contributor as a writer in different conferences and she continued to be an achiever in their university. She received her medical degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from King Khalid University, College of Medicine, ABHA, Saudi Arabia with first class honor in the year of 2018. Dr. Ali Alharbi completed her medical training at AFHSR, Khamis Mushayt, Saudi Arabia in Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Department and at Aseer Central Hospital, Abha, Saudi Arabia in General Surgery Department in the year 2017. She is well-known as one of the active and persevere doctors on their field as she continues to share her knowledge and skills to fellow doctors and aspiring interns on the field of medical science. She served as an organizer and speaker on different programs, courses and conferences. One of the events that she attended as a speaker was Dubai Otology Conference in the year 2018 . She currently has multiple publications and has co-authorships in several publications and served as data collector in other publications. She was also active in community participation and voluntary activities as one of the educators , organizers of multiple ENT awareness campaign . which showed how she wholeheartedly dedicated herself in cultivating awareness on different diseases in her community. She attended different courses, workshop, conferences and symposium for the advancement and additional knowledge that she may use on her profession. Dr. Alharbi is also an active and aspiring members of different organizations such as American College of Surgeons, Saudi Otorhinolaryngology Society, and Medical and Community Volunteer team. Currently, she continues to serve her country without the doubt, bravery and with her exquisite skills amidst of the worldwide health crisis which is the COVID-19 that affects many people and continues to involve herself on different courses and workshop in combatting the cases of COVID-19 in their country and to be an aspiring ORL-HNS resident .

Dr Asad Qayyum is working as a consultant ENT Surgeon practicing in the Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom. He has a specialist interest in Otology, Balance and Paediatric ENT problems. Mr Asad is Clinical Director for the Head and Neck Services and also the Training Program Director for the ENT Trainees in the Cambridgeshire region. Asad has been the International Otology Fellow at the Royal Darwin Hospital in Australia and completed a second fellowship in Otology and Ear Implant Unit at the Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge. Asad has been involved with the research of Genetics of Early onset hearing loss at the Sanger Genome Institute at Cambridge. His current research interest involves managing prevention of retraction pockets of tympanic membrane using a combination of endoscopic approach and Eustachian tuboplasty. Asad is also a course director for cadaveric ENT, Head and Neck courses, that he has set up in collaboration with the Anglia Ruskin University in the United Kingdom. Asad has extensive Otological experience in Endoscopic Ear Surgery, Cholesteatoma Surgery, Stapes Surgery and managing patients with vertigo and balance problems both in adult and paediatric population. Asad has more than 70 publications including text book chapters to his name. He has presented his work in South Africa, Switzerland, China, USA and the UK. Outside of work he is passionate about photography and restoring classic cars.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Bassim spent 11 years as an Associate Professor of Otology, Residency Program Director, and the founding director of the Balance Center at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. Most recently, he was the director of The Ear Institute at Clemenceau Medical Center in Beirut. Dr. Bassim has published many papers in the field of otology and is a reviewer for several international journals. He also is a regular lecturer in multiple international ear courses. Asad has been involved with the research of Genetics of Early onset hearing loss at the Sanger Genome Institute at Cambridge. His current research interest involves managing prevention of retraction pockets of tympanic membrane using a combination of endoscopic approach and Eustachian tuboplasty. Asad is also a course director for cadaveric ENT, Head and Neck courses, that he has set up in collaboration with the Anglia Ruskin University in the United Kingdom. Asad has extensive Otological experience in Endoscopic Ear Surgery, Cholesteatoma Surgery, Stapes Surgery and managing patients with vertigo and balance problems both in adult and paediatric population. Asad has more than 70 publications including text book chapters to his name. He has presented his work in South Africa, Switzerland, China, USA and the UK. Outside of work he is passionate about photography and restoring classic cars.

He received his Master’s degree in Phoniatrics from the University of Ain-Shams, Cairo, Egypt in 2005. Dr. Ahmed is currently an associate professor in the Phoniatric unit in the ENT Department at Ain-Shams University in Cairo, Egypt since 2016 and assistant professor in Speech and language pathology unit, ENT department at King Fahad Hospital of the University (Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University (IAU) previously University Of Dammam (UOD)) in Saudi Arabia since 2015. In addition Dr. Ahmed had worked as a consultant of Phoniatrics at El-Aaraby and El-Afghany private hospitals, Cairo, Egypt, for 5years between 2011 and 2015 and he worked as a consultant of phoniatrics in the phoniaric unit at the Egyptian health insurance hospital (the main division in Cairo) from 2012 till 2015 . He completed his MD from Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat and later did his Otorhinolaryngology Residency training program at McGill University Canada and Advance Head and Neck Fellowship Training from National University, Singapore. Dr Al Macki is chairing the Otolaryngology department at the Armed Forces Hospital (AFH) in Oman. He is very much involved in research in the field of H&N, Otology and Cochlear implantation. Dr. Al Macki successfully Cochlear implanted a 4 months old baby with congenital deafness, been the youngest non-meningitis child to receive an implantation in the Middle East. He was the first surgeon to preform simultaneous Cochlear implantation and middle ear implantation using carina system worldwide. He is specialized in Advance Head & Neck Surgical Oncology, Robotic & Minimally Invasive Head & Neck Surgery, Minimally invasive endoscopic Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery, Micro-vascular reconstruction Head & Neck Surgery and Otology & Cochlear Implantation Surgery.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Bassim spent 11 years as an Associate Professor of Otology, Residency Program Director, and the founding director of the Balance Center at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. Most recently, he was the director of The Ear Institute at Clemenceau Medical Center in Beirut. Amy is the founder of Hypatia Specialist Clinics and Hypatia Training which aims to help improve Vestibular care by providing innovative clinics and training for clinicians worldwide. She mentors and assists clinicians from a number of services both NHS and private, CHIME Social Enterprise, Arrowe Park NHS Hospital, Dizzy and Vertigo Institute of Los Angeles. Although an independent business owner her opinion on equipment and devices is often sought from technology manufacturers and she often makes recommendations that make it to final production. ​ She is currently researching Visual Vertigo and has been providing patients with new techniques to help relieve these symptoms and is involved in a number of multi-centre research projects. After completing a Bachelors in Audiology at the University of Manchester in 2009, Amy worked in the NHS until in 2011 she had the opportunity to emigrate to Australia. Here she completed her Master's equivalence and became Head of Service in Queensland looking after both patients in the public and private sector. ​ In 2012 she joined Otometrics as Clinical Lead for Australia she worked on research and development projects for the ICS Impulse and produced the interpretation guide for Head Impulse. Alongside working for Otometrics she developed the “Vestibular Forum” an online community for multidisciplinary clinicians and regularly hosted vestibular and electrophysiology lectures at La Trobe and Flinders University. ​ Amy lives at home with her husband and 7 year old son and enjoys family activities and adventures at the weekend

Samer Mohsen is an ENT physician with a Ph.D. degree in Audiology. Now, he is a researcher, lecturer, and clinician in the field of both audiology and otolaryngology. he has many published research on tinnitus, hearing assessment, and CAPD. Mohsen established the Audiology Bachelor degree program at Damascus University in 2019 and since that he is serving as the head of the audiology department and vice-dean of the faculty of health sciences there.

He followed his higher surgical training by doing a clinical neurotology fellowship program in Toronto University in Canada. Dr Alamadi is currently a consultant Otologist and Neurotologist and medical director at Al Baraha hospital in Dubai he is also a clinical Associate Professor at Sharjah University. His expertise lies in Otological surgeries and management of dizzy patients.

Jaydip Ray completed his specialist training in Birmingham and undertook his PhD thesis on the Surgical, Electrophysiological and Audiological aspects of Cochlear Implantation. He also undertook fellowship training in Cambridge; Sydney University, Australia; House Ear Institute, LA and Stanford University, USA. He joined Sheffield Teaching Hospitals as Consultant Otologist Neurotologist and Hon. Senior Clinical Lecturer in 2006. He was appointed Professor of Otology by Sheffield Hallam University in 2013 and Professor of Otology Neurotology by University of Sheffield in 2016. He is the Clinical Director for ENT and Hearing Services. His main research interests include Management of Complex Hearing Loss and Implantable Hearing Solutions. He has been investigating the links between hearing loss and dementia. Secondary research interest includes management of Balance Disorders in the elderly. He has an active role in teaching and training and lectures widely on several national and international courses and conferences.

Amy is the founder of Hypatia Specialist Clinics and Hypatia Training which aims to help improve Vestibular care by providing innovative clinics and training for clinicians worldwide. She mentors and assists clinicians from a number of services both NHS and private, CHIME Social Enterprise, Arrowe Park NHS Hospital, Dizzy and Vertigo Institute of Los Angeles. Although an independent business owner her opinion on equipment and devices is often sought from technology manufacturers and she often makes recommendations that make it to final production. ​ She is currently researching Visual Vertigo and has been providing patients with new techniques to help relieve these symptoms and is involved in a number of multi-centre research projects. After completing a Bachelors in Audiology at the University of Manchester in 2009, Amy worked in the NHS until in 2011 she had the opportunity to emigrate to Australia. Here she completed her Master's equivalence and became Head of Service in Queensland looking after both patients in the public and private sector. ​ In 2012 she joined Otometrics as Clinical Lead for Australia she worked on research and development projects for the ICS Impulse and produced the interpretation guide for Head Impulse. Alongside working for Otometrics she developed the “Vestibular Forum” an online community for multidisciplinary clinicians and regularly hosted vestibular and electrophysiology lectures at La Trobe and Flinders University. ​ Amy lives at home with her husband and 7 year old son and enjoys family activities and adventures at the weekend

He worked as Principal and Co Investigator in various Research Projects, several Research publication in National as well as International Journals and also reviewed a chapter on cochlear implants in the 1st edition of the book “ DISEASES OF EAR, NOSE & THROAT” by PROF Mohan Bansal . He regularly presents clinical research papers at various National and International forums. ​Dr. Mark Bassim, MD, FACS, is an Otologist and Neurotologist at the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. He specializes in all diseases of the ear and lateral skull base, and treats patients with hearing loss, dizziness, vertigo, tinnitus, and skull base tumors. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Bassim spent 11 years as an Associate Professor of Otology, Residency Program Director, and the founding director of the Balance Center at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. Most recently, he was the director of The Ear Institute at Clemenceau Medical Center in Beirut. Dr. Bassim has published many papers in the field of otology and is a reviewer for several international journals. He also is a regular lecturer in multiple international ear courses. During his free time, Dr. Bassim enjoys spending time with his children and outdoor activities.​​ ​​ ​​​
