Dr Sobhy was born in Alexandria in 1959, entered the Alexandria Faculty of Medicine in 1977 and graduated from it in 1983. In 1985 he was appointed as a demonstrator in the audiology unit, ORL department, Alexandria University. In 1988 he obtained his Master of Science in Audiology from Ain Shams University in Cairo. In 1989 he left for the USA to the University of Memphis, in Memphis, Tennessee. There, in 1993 he got the PhD degree in Audiology. In 1994 he became a lecturer then an assistant professor in 1999, then a professor in 2004 in Alexandria University. In 2009, he became the head of the audio-vestibular unit in Alexandria University till the year 2015. In 2019, he was appointed as an emeritus professor in Alexandria University. Dr Sobhy is a consultant of audiology to the Egyptian Health Insurance, West Delta branch from 1995 till now. Dr Sobhy has been a member of Otoalex society, International Evoked Response Audiometry Study Group and the EAVMA. Dr Sobhy has authored and co-authored more than 20 papers with more than 100 scientific citations. He also discussed and supervised more than 55 Master theses and doctoral dissertations in Egyptian universities. Dr Sobhy has participated in more than 25 international conferences across the globe as a speaker. Dr Sobhy's main areas of research are auditory evoked potentials and cochlear implantation.

He serves as a Consultant at the Institut Universitaire de la Face et du Cou (IUFC) in Nice and is an active member of the French Vestibular Rehabilitation Society (SFFRV), the Vestibular Disorders Association (VEDA), and Caps. Since 2006, he has been a co-organizer of the Assises de l'Équilibre in Nice and a regular speaker at national and international otology, vestibular, and ENT congresses. Mr. Thiry co-founded the French Society of Vestibular Physiotherapy (SFKV) in 2013 and was awarded the prestigious Alain Semont Prize in 2008. With over three decades of clinical experience and specialized training in vestibular rehabilitation, he is widely recognized for his contributions to the advancement of balance and vestibular care.

Fluent in 4 languages,during her work in the U.S, she sat on committees developing fair testing materials for Arab-American students.A founding member of “The Saudi Association for Cochlear Implantation” charity organization,her current research examines parental role and impact on outcomes in children using hearingtechnology.

Dr. Ayatallah Raouf Sheikhany is an Assistant Professor of Phoniatrics at Cairo university as well as the University of Armed Forces Faculty of Medicine. She serves as a Consultant at the Phoniatrics unit in Agouza Police Hospital, Cairo. Dr. Sheikhany also supervises the rehabilitation section of the cochlear implant program at the same hospital. She supervises basma program for rehabilitation of children who are hard of hearing and cochlear implanted children. In addition, she works as a Visiting Consultant at several hospitals including El Safa, Dar El Fouad, El Sherouk, and Cleopatra Group Hospitals. Dr. Sheikhany's expertise extends from neonates to elderly. She is also a member of the presidential committee of hearing screening and cochlear implant. With her extensive experience and knowledge, Dr. Sheikhany played a crucial role in establishing the national database of the Egyptian CI children and neonatal hearing screening. She has great passion for this field and shares her experience through many national and international conferences and scientific meetings

Enas has more than 15 years of practical experience in the United Arab Emirates working with a variety of children with language and communication impairment. She provides training, counselling and support for families of children with language and communication impairment, particularly children with hearing loss, to implement therapy strategies at home and during daily life activities. Enas has undertaken in-depth training programs for professionals and participated in training other professionals to implement therapy fundamentals to develop listening and spoken language skills for children with hearing loss using hearing devices.
